About
Building something new. On purpose.
After spending decades at the intersection of technology and institutions — delivering outcomes others said couldn't be done — I made a deliberate choice to build something new. Something that puts the women who do this work at the center of the story. That's what I'm building now.

The Career Arc
For more than 25 years, Jerri Bland led enterprise-scale IT transformations in higher education and beyond. She served in senior technology leadership roles at institutions including Columbia University and UNC Chapel Hill — environments where the stakes were high, the politics were real, and the outcomes had to be delivered regardless.
She didn't collect titles. She delivered results. Complex ERP implementations. Infrastructure overhauls. Organizational change that actually stuck. The kind of work that requires equal parts vision, discipline, and political savvy.
That track record — outcomes others said couldn't be done — became the foundation for everything that followed.
The Pivot — and Why Lumynr
At some point, the question shifted. It was no longer “Can I deliver this?” but “What should I be building?”
The answer came from looking around the rooms she'd spent a career in — and noticing who was missing. Women in technology. Not absent from the workforce, but absent from the conversations, the networks, the leadership pipelines, and the communities that accelerate careers.
Lumynr is the result: a career and community platform designed specifically for women in IT. Built by someone who spent decades on the inside and knows exactly what's missing.
The Ecosystem
Jerri also leads a portfolio of companies spanning technology services, workforce development, and background screening — and serves in leadership roles across global operations. The ventures include UnlimITed Powerhouse (fractional CIO consulting), Vetters Group (background screening), and Transformidable (leadership coaching and programs).
