Advisor. Author. Founder. Based in North Carolina.
Biography
Dr. Jerri Bland is an institutional technology leader, author, and founder whose work spans more than twenty-five years of enterprise IT at the highest levels of higher education and the institutions that orbit it. She holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration and built her early reputation leading implementations at Columbia University and at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where she ran the institution's $60 million administrative-systems transformation.
She is the founder and CEO of CIO Advisra and AgentPMO, the founder of Lumynr — a national community for women in institutional technology — and the founder of Vetters Group. Her advisory practice serves universities, hospitals, and the complex organizations behind them as fractional CIO, transformation overseer, and expert witness.
Her forthcoming book, Transformidable, publishes June 2026 and articulates a framework for the leaders who close the gap between vision and outcome. She hosts the Transformidable Thinking podcast and writes regularly at Transformidable.media on institutional IT, transformation, and women in technology leadership.
Dr. Bland is PMP, CSM, and Six Sigma certified. She serves on boards in higher education and the nonprofit sector and lives in North Carolina.
The Work I've Built
My work is organized across three areas: an engagement-based advisory practice, a portfolio of platforms and community work serving institutional IT and the people inside it, and a publication and book under the Transformidable brand.
Each piece exists for a reason I can name, and each one connects to the others — the advisory practice surfaces problems, the publication thinks them through in public, and the platforms ship the answer at scale.
